ABSTRACT: Assessing the role of early childhood education in building community resilience is crucial for preparing communities to withstand and recover from challenges. This study aimed to evaluate how early childhood education programs contribute to building resilience in communities. The objectives were to (1) assess improvements in community cohesion and support networks, (2) evaluate the integration of resilience-building activities in the curriculum, and (3) examine changes in community responses to adversity. A survey design was chosen to systematically collect data from participants, providing a comprehensive understanding of the topic. A purposive sample of 110 children aged 4-6 years, from resilient communities, was selected to ensure relevant experiences. The case study focused on an early childhood education center in Ebonyi State, known for its community resilience initiatives. Findings revealed significant improvements in community cohesion and support networks, the effectiveness of resilience-building activities, and positive changes in community responses to adversity. The study recommended integrating resilience education into early childhood curricula and collaborating with community organizations to strengthen community resilience strategies.
